Confession: I WANT a fill, but probably don't need one.

Recommended Posts

I confess. My weight loss has slowed down, but I still have restriction. Sometimes more than others.

My weight loss has really centered around my fills. I get a fill, I drop 10-20 pounds pretty quickly, I slow down, I stop.

I am in the slow down process, but have not really stopped. But I AM confessing that I am into the junk. STOP ME, I AM A MONSTER!

Lol! I will get better, I am thinking that with only 27 more pounds to go, I will take it easy this summer and go for a fill and get down to some more serious business this Fall when the kids go back to school.

So just confessing and complaining here.

Nice to have a place to do that.

Cheers,

Paula

Hi Paula, last fill my doctor tried to take me to 3.2 in my 4.2 band and whooo it was too much. I am happy at 3 ccs. Perfect restriction and never hungry. Just make sure you get to a safe level where you aren't pbing all the time. You should be okay.

Hey Paula,

don't get greedy! i was at what i now know was my sweet spot. tight in the morning, better at lunch and pretty good at dinner. never really hungry but felt i was starting to eat too much. losing about 1-2 lbs a week sometimes less...... anyway, i thought i'll go get a little fill just in case i'm getting too loose and ended up being miserable, refluxing and last week had to have it emptied. i get a fill on tuesday. anyway, i've realized i am going to take it easy and not get greedy and only when i'm not losing at all and starving am i going to fill!!!!! so, if you are good i'd wait or just get a touch put in!

Thanks you two, you are so right. I AM being greedy. So close to goal, I just want it done yesterday.

But you're right. When I eat the proper foods, I am still tight enough. I AM loosening up though I can tell, so I will enjoy a few more weeks or months of this and then see how things feel.

Thanks kindly.

What a great post!

I can still be a piggly wiggly! That is how I got here to begin with. Don't beat yourself up.

You are doing wonderful and are a great inspiration!

Do you like any of the Protein shakes? I found a few delicious ones that actually make a wonderful snack.< /p>

I can give you the names of a few if you want them.

Some only have maybe 100 to 150 calories, more is you use skim milk. I add a ton of ice and it's like choc. shake and I can still be a piggly wiggly...lol...these save me at night.

:whoo:
wow that is me too! I seem to lose when I get the fill for a few weeks and then I stop losing for the most part! I am up 2lbs actually from eating richer food on our trip! I can eat a lot more then a few weeks ago so I am back for a fill this Sat. with my friend! I feel very discouraged right now as I have been going back and forth from 187 to 190 and it is really making me frustrated. I am staying at no more then `1200
a day but it seems that I cannot drop,,,I usually eat around 900 a day and I exercise (walk 2-3 miles everyother day) so I am doing something wrong I think! Good weight loss so far but didn't even lose weight on my last fill 3 weeks ago! FRUSTRATING,,,and I feel hungry more then usual like I was on Weight Watchers and got off track and struggling now kind of feeling which I am not supposed to feel with the band! So time for a fill I guess!:clap2:

Thanks for your sharing it feels good to not be alone in this

Susan

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well. I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening. So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this?? Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
