Food & Liquid Is A No No I Need Help

Recommended Posts

I'm having the hardest time with eating with no liquid, Every time I eat, I have liquid close by and end up drinking during my meal. I've gotten food stuck & I felt is if I was going to choke without the Water to push it down. Sometmes I spit up when I'm too full, or eat too fast, or It's just not going down. Does anyone else have this problem with liquid and meals? :help:

Something that my doctor suggested: he said if you must have something to drink while you eat, fill a glass with ice and have it next to you with your meal. Whatever melts while you're sitting there, you can sip on -- that way it won't be too much to wash the food through, but yet you can get a little wetness in also.

Prebanding, I was one of those ppl that had refill after refill, now I get a glass of Water with my meal and a to go cup with ice, so I can take it with me when I leave, much more enjoyable after you leave.

Just remember if you drink with your meal, you're pushing your food through and encouraging that stuck feeling and you'll lose that full feeling a lot faster.

Drinking and eating isn't a problem for me......one sip and everything comes up. I can throw Water up at any temperature. I drink Propel and Special K protien water.......When we go out to dinner with friends I have a Cappuccino

when they are all drinking. Caffine is my drug of choice. It keeps me from wanting bread. Bread is another bad choice. Sometime I chew a garlic knot for taste....but never swallow it......then the night would be over for me.That would get stuck in a NY minute.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
