4 days ago I got back from a 10 day trip to Europe. It was an educational tour with my daughter. Part of the price of the trip was Breakfast and dinner everyday, so I had very little control over what food was available to me. Even so, I felt like I did pretty well with my eating. When I got home and weighed myself, I was pleased to discover that I lost 4 lbs! This was probably in large part because we walked 5-10 miles everyday.

Anyway, since I've been home, I've really been struggling with hunger, but I'm sure it's head hunger. I end up grazing all day long, and we all know what kind of trouble that can lead to. I am a teacher, so I'm on summer break. Any tips on battling these old eating habits that have crept up on me?

Get back to basics, plan out your meals and Snacks so you are not grabbing Snacks and eating all day. Do what you did in the beginning...you can do this!

What Peach said and also find you a summer hobby or maybe even a part time job. Something to keep you busy so you don't think about food so much.

Yeah, I'd get busy. I'm trying to do the same thing. I've got all 7 of my kiddos home all summer and to keep them and me out of the pantry all day, I try to get us out with activites. It helps with food habits and sanity for me:)

I cant eat meals at the sane pace as everyone else which results in me picking at it for about an hour or so. Its troublesome when I have dinner at a friends because they think I dont like their cooking lol

I think people are needlessly afraid of grazing. As long ad your total calorie intake is lower then your resting calorie amount and you get regular excercise in grazing doesnt ned to be seen as a bad thing.

I actuall graze quiet a bit during the day. Some days are just all grazing. But it's never on junk. I will have sliced turkey and cheese to nibble on, hummus and crackers, hard boiled eggs, Peanut Butter on banana slices, beef Jerky, high Protein Cereal & milk, string cheese, greek yogurt w/ granola (that's more like a meal), a leftover meatball or two, ect....

When my kids are here at home I cook and we eat meals. When theyre at their dad's I usually just graze on whatever leftovers are in the refrigerator. I still try to track my grazing but as long as it's Protein first and pretty healthy food, I don't worry too much about it.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
