@ judyoz I agree completely with you. I have to remind myself to eat now. Eating was such a major part of my life. I was planning lunch while eating Breakfast. The sleeve definitely took my hunger away. I can only think of a couple of times I was actually hungry, and even then it was more of an annoyance growl/cramp reminding me to eat.

2 months out and my hunger isn't reduced at all. Also I like /crave the same foods as prior to surgery but luckily I can only fit 8 ounces at a time. Was surprised my pouch held so much. Not really happy with my surgery choice since I was losing weight on my own at a much faster rate. However I had the surgery to insure I would keep the weight off which has been the case. Also my arthritis and GERD are much worse since the surgery. All my physical problems are worse not better.

Eleven months out and yes I get hungry, but it is around meal time when I do and I can only eat a cup of food at a time. So usually no problem. I still have some head hunger, but look for low calorie Snacks to take care of that. 5 calorie Jello usually fills me up.

I am 6 months post surgery with my sleeve, and I can say that my hunger level has indeed decreased. I still have the occasional visual hunger (i.e. seeing something with my eyes that looks good to eat), but not to the point that I have to eat it. Honestly I'm trying very hard to follow the guidelines so I don't end up back in the hospital with any issues again.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
