Im going back Saturday and scared I can't hack it, I work in a very busy pharmacy, on my feet the entire shift.

I'm sorry to hear about your pain smrogg ! And you guys are taking Otc acid reflux? My doc wrote me a script generic Pepcid but pharmacy grade.

Yep @@TeeNahh I still have a pretty sensitive tummy and can't bend much without some sort of pain. My back pain has subsided but my gas pains in my shoulders is still ongoing. I also still get pretty tired if i do too much. Monday I felt so great that I was cleaning out closets and shredding old files in my home office and suddenly I was wiped out. I was so dang tired. So I still need to take it pretty easy.

I am back to work now for a week. Went back one day short of two weeks. I was so ready. I have knots in my back but other than that have been great. I even went swimming and Water walking for 2 hours yesterday and plan on doing it today because it is my day off.

Update on my back pain and reflux: I went to the dr and the reflux feeling is actually food getting stuck. Dr told me to go back to Stage 2...ugh! But that's not the worst of it. The back pain my dr suspects is kidney stones! Apparently it's common for Gastric Bypass patients to get because our diets are high in Protein. I have to drink lots of water...which pretty much I'll be sipping all day. And I just have to let it pass. He gave me some liquid Tylenol with Codeine but that's just taking the edge off. It's gonna be a rough couple of days. I just hope it passes soon.

I hope you feel better soon. I am glad they found out what was going on. Did he or she say that a particular food was getting stuck?

That's great!! I'm glad your feeling better. I am not drinking enough fluids. Which cause my heart rate to elevate. I am now drinking Pedialyte to help restore my electrolytes. So yes ma'am having the proper Fluid intake is important.

How much fluids do you guys think you're actually drinking a day ? I can't get past 1 liter. Scary to know that could happen to me, I'm sorry you went through that !

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
