My incisions feel fine what is bothering me is my throat from the tube. It feels better when I suck on ice pops. No problems getting in my Protein and Water. Went to the grocery store today with my parents and it felt great to get out and walk around. Walking around my neighborhood okay. 6 pounds down since surgery. I can't wait to go on full fluids on Wednesday. I am going back to work on the 6th, I am actually looking forward to it.

How is everyone else doing?

Hi everyone!!! Day 1-4 has not been the greatest for me but I'm feeling much better today.... Been able to sip water, protein shakes, and tea.... I find that sipping ginger and peppermint tea has been helping my horrific gas pain situation tremendously along with walking of course... I'm on Tylenol with codeine for pain every 4 hours for pain and it works well...so glad to hear everyone is ok post op!!!

What do you put inn your tea to sweeten it up. I bought stevia but its awful...

Hi, I'm glad your feeling better. I feel great today but a couple days ago I passed out because I had been unable to get enough liquid and Protein in. Now I am able to and I am feeling great. I only took a pain pill the night I came home on the 25th other than that just tolerable pain.

I'm doing great. I had my 1 week follow up with my surgeon. I'm getting in plenty of liquids and got moved to full liquids, so no more clear Protein Drinks. Now I'm having the creamy ones, which makes me much happier.

Just a tiny bit of soreness of incisions (mainly the underneath sutures of the muscles), but no real pain since last week. I have energy, and I'm thrilled with this decision. I'm glad to hear you guys are doing well! Keep it up!

Everything good here! I have moved on to mashed/ puréed foods, have lost 30 lb, and feel pretty normal. This whole thing has been easy... Though, I think I am starting to feel hunger. Wasn't expecting that, at least not yet.

Hey polar gonna try mashed today.... I've been good lost about 30 lbs as well... But it looks like things are starting to slow down now so I'm only gonna weigh my self once a week.... Gonna increase my walking time as well and see if that helps......

I've lost almost 30 since the start of my preop diet 1month ago), about 10 since surgery. Started mashed foods yesterday with a scrambled egg and it didn't go well (vomited). Tilapia went better last night, but I can only eat about an ounce of solids. No other issues here!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
