Wl- pill topiramate aka topamax

Recommended Posts

I took topamax for severe Migraines and stress induced seizures in 2006 and that stuff really helped me lose weight. I mean, I didn't want to eat EVER and the weight just fell right off, but the problem is, at least for me, that when I quit the topamax because I was having a bad interaction with the maxalt my neurologist had also given me(you would of thought he would have known that was a bad combo but whatever), that all that weight came back with a cruel vengeance and some friends. So just be aware of that should you need to wean off of it for whatever reason.

Funny how medications effect everyone differently. I take 200 mg of Topamax twice a day and Maxalt together and haven't had any interaction problems but lost zero weight.

Don't want to hijack this thread but I see a lot of migraineurs. I have chronic mig with and without aura. Tried Topamax three different times but had to discontinue due to side effects ( including kidney stones). what I want to know is how did WLS impact your Migraines? How about the liquid diet?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
