Looking for my June 1 buddy's ?

I experienced the heaves and foaming spit up. My sleeve does not like anything with artificial sweeteners so a Popsicle did me in! Decaf iced tea has been a godsend! What else is everyone tolerating?

Hiccups here too!

The gas pressure is gone and I was released from hospital today. Each meal I'm only eating a few bites of sf Jello and a few spoon of broath. I have to eat slow and I don't over do it.if I start feeling pressure, I stop. Each day I feel better and can eat a few more bites.

Sent me home today, I still have a ton of gas pain, no matter how much I walk. The hiccup/burps are really painful. Sipping on Isopure clear and Water.< /p>

I was told I needed to pass gas in order to go home and this morning finally. Try massaging the bottom part of your stomach downward, insitions should be higher on stomach.

Crazy how every program is different. I had one nurse tell me I had to pass gas too before I could leave but when the doc did rounds she said to relax because that might not happen until day 3. Sure enough, by last night things were moving.

Went through the surgery yesterday. I was in minimal pain yesterday. Today the soreness got worse. No nausea since right afterwards in recovery, but I have a good tolerance for Anestesia. 14 surgeries on grafts In my arms in a little over a year will do that. Just had my first oz of Water. Good luck to everyone!! Keep us updated. I know reading about what everyone was going through made me feel less alone.

June 1st also how's everyone doing post op clear liquid diet? I'm feeling pretty good but sitting up is still pretty difficult for me 5 days out. Dr said I would be fine at home alone with my 4yr old once I left the hospital and man this has NOT been fun it's hard to keep up!

I too am struggling to keep up with my 5yr old. I can't imagine a 4yr old. Everything's getting better, but I'm struggling to get my fluids in.

I drink the clear Isopure in a bottle, it's 2g/oz and not as heavy as the shakes. However, I keep having to stop after each oz and wait for spasms...so I'm slow on intake.

Just my first day after surgery. I am on Clear Liquids until at least Wednesday. I have only had Apple juice so far. 4 ounces every couple of hours. I feel quite full afterwards.

Just left ER, they were concerned about my fever of 3 days...but no worries, all was good. Was just my body fighting off stuff. All labs came back good and no leak! Whew.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
