You are beautiful inside and out. I absolutely hate the comment that surgery is the easy way or cheater way out. It absolutely is a lifetime commitment to change! I was amazed on the difference your shirt made on your appearance! You are so right! Not only do you look better but it increases self esteem to take care of yourself properly. Your videos are inspiring so keep them going ! You are awesome sauce !!!!! As far as liquids .... With working out you need a bare absolute minimum of 64oz a day of Water. I hope you can get in more. The water and Protein are going to help the healing process and the elasticity of the skin. My gym fun is Zumba and Mixxed Fit... I am so hooked that my next step is to become a Mixxed Fit instructor. Again keep the videos going.

I am less than 8 hours away from surgery, and although I've psyched myself up, you are truly inspiring, keep doing this, lay the path for those of us who will follow, going through an unknown area is much easier when a trail is laid.

  • laguerr13 - I am excited for you. Let us know how it goes!
  • Shamroxx - I actually hid my scale this week because I was turning into a crazy person weighing myself all the time. I want want to keep reminding myself that to be holistically healthy is my goal.

My starting weight at the end of February was 346. My weight on the day of surgery on May 11th was 316. My weight 4 days ago (3.5 weeks after surgery) was 294. That is 52 pounds lost since February and 22 pounds in 24 days.

Hi Jamie! I was sleeved on May 11th as well. I had my one month post op appointment today and have lost 31 pounds! I related to your video more than you know. I really appreciate you having the courage to put it all out there. You're a beautiful woman, keep up the good work!

Ah MixxedFit you ask? It's an exercise class that has you doing dance moves people would do in the dance club (no twerking thank heaven !! Lol) ... To all the current popular music. Combines core muscles and cardio all in one. It makes me feel like I went out for a night of dancing without the alcohol. It is so much fun! After an hour you feel great .... You worked your butt off but you didn't notice until the end!

Did you notice that you said 396 instead of 296? How cool is it that you have to now train yourself to start your weight number with a 2 instead of a 3! You go girl!

If getting down to the 100s is called Onederland, is there a term for reaching the 200s? I'd vote for Twomorrow. As in some day I'll lose weight. Maybe tomorrow. Oh wait, tomorrow is here!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
