I am four months out and I have a rash that started on both wrists, worked it's way halfway up my arms and is now past the inside of my elbow. Red bumpy rough itchy at times. Anyone experience any of this. I thought it might have been melatonin but I quit that about two weeks ago and it's still not all cleared up.

Have you changed your laundry detergent recently? Or tried a new perfume, lotion, dish soap...anything new? Have you been exposed to poison ivy/oak? And of course, this time of year presents lots of pollen, so that may be an issue, as well. Have you had a chance to ask your PCP? How are you with cortisone creams or calamine lotion? Those might help the itching (if it does itch), as will Benadryl. Allergies can develop at any time in a person's life, just as they can disappear, and no one seems to know why. I hope you find the culprit, AND a solution. Good luck!

I had the same thing and found out it was excema (sp?). I used a lotion that is recommended by dermatologists and it cleared it up. You can buy it at CVS or Walgreens. It is called CeraVe. It is pricey but worth it. I think this had something to do with the rapid weight loss and my thyroid.

I love the CeraVe... I like the tub best, but I have the lotion too.

Same here...LOVE CeraVe. My go-to for face and body. They have a lotion to remove bumps from skin, as well.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
