Recommended Posts

Fully caffeinated hazelnut coffee here also, black.

At least you drink yours black ;) I have to have some kind of cream and sugar in mine.

i did myself a favor for sure at the age of 20 and stopped the cream and sugar. But that smell of hazelnut in the morning is just too much heaven for me to give up.

Yup, I'm in the coffee club too, with Splenda and non-dairy Cremora. And anything that's protein-based is fair game. Kung pao chicken is one of my favorite foods, as are ribs. As long as I stay off the carbs, that type of food doesn't seem to affect my weight loss much.

Mine is less of a guilty pleasure than a "slippery slope" kinda thing. ****Chocolate*** I'll buy the smallest bags of Reese's to avoid gorging...(OK, now it would only be mini-gorging -5oz.) And I still log it in MyFitnessPal........so I stay within my daily limits. ;)

I don't really have anything that is forbidden.....I just really muster alot more effort now in controlling the urges to indulge in what I know is detrimental to me. It's hard, but I know this was my "last ditch plan" to lose it and there won't be a next time. ;)

I have found a few new favorites at my favorite sushi places because I do not tolerate rice well at all.

Kani salad is just the spicy crab mixture and cucumber without the rice. I often ask the chef to add a bit of avocado and crunch. I also love the suni salad which is the squid in a vinegar base. I am not a huge fan of seaweed salad, but my bestie is. It has a lot of sesame and chili oil and is very fresh and crisp. These "salads" are big, Protein only and are usually on the appetizer menu. They are the perfect portion for me. The hard part is deciding which I want.

My favorite place also serves sushi rolls without rice. The filling is wrapped in very thinly shaved slices of cucumber and is absolutely delicious.

leaded coffee - not Decaf, I don't need the sugar and Creamers but occasionally I will add a little Creamer. I like Coffemates Peppermint Mocha - haven't tried it since surgery.

I don't feel guilty about anything, as it's everything in moderation. But my "must haves ?" Hot tea in the morning with Splenda and creamer, or a Keurig Chai Latte.....mmmmmmmmmm. My other must haves would be anything "ice creamy" like WW ice cream or frozen yogurt, and most chocolate , like milk chocolate, white chocolate , MnM's, Snickers etc

No guilt about anything I CHOOSE to eat or drink. Anything is worth 2 bites.

One of my most favorite splurges is a skinny caramel macchiato sweetened with Splenda. Love these!!

A single slice of California pizza Kitchen's Tostada Pizza on crispy thin crust with extra salsa. But when I do this I know I'll see a slow down in loss and will be more hungry the next day so its pretty infrequent.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
