Sleeved April 27 and on Pureed foods, who is with me

Recommended Posts

I found the smoother the better for foods. Tried ground up chicken salad, felt like a lead balloon. Mashed potatoes were not good either (I just had to try them). What is working is Greek yogurt, mashed Beans. I am going to try cream of wheat tomorrow and cottage cheese tomorrow.

I had my sleeve done April 29th and I can't wait for puréed foods! I am so sick of drinking my food. I had to follow a liquid diet for a month and then the last two weeks! I need to chew!

Sleeved on the 21st and on Puree for another week. I like cottage cheese, added SF pistachio pudding to my vanilla shake and enjoyed it, made an acorn squash puree (roasted acorn squash, a little unsweetened almond milk and Truvia brown sugar blend) I was going to try a pureed mushroom Soup and my favorite is grits. My Nut asked me what I mix with them and I said I used to use butter- although she said light butter will be okay I also tried melting in a light laughing cow wedge which was tasty but made it heavier.

Sleeved the 29th of April. I just pureed a 1/3 cup of wendys chili, boy did that hit the spot! I added a couple of saltines too. I feel full and fullfilled :)

I was sleeved on April 29th. I am on purée for 3 more weeks. I've pretty much been living on plain greek yogurt with a tsp of sf Syrup mixed in, cottage cheese and shakes. Yesterday I tried part skim ricotta mixed with a little Tomato sauce. On Monday I made some chicken salad and puréed it....then I was in horrible pain after eating it. Lesson learned! Good news today from my post op appointment. I have lost 17lbs since my surgery date.

I was sleeved on the 27th too! I am still on the puréed stage until week 5. I've been living off homemade refried Beans and yogurt. I can't wait to move onto soft foods!

I'm down 28 lbs so far.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
