I've had 2 women who I view as small/average who've offered me clothes than say "I don't think they'll fit you, your smaller than me!" What a shocking, thrilling experience. Man I must carry my weight well because I'm so not their size and definitely not their weight. I'm guessing I'm at least 30 lbs heavier.

You should take the clothes and the compliment. Even if you can't actually fit in them NOW, you likely will be able to soon enough!

They think they're too BIG for me now, lol.

You may be experiencing a tiny bit of body dysmorphia. For many of us, we will always see ourselves as fat. If 2 different people both said they think their clothes are toot big for you, believe them. You probably just can't see the difference yet.

Isn't that weird how that happens? I'm experiencing a little of it right now. I used to roll my eyes a little at people who claimed they didn't feel they looked smaller, or just couldn't see it when they looked in the mirror. Now I'm experiencing it, too.

Karma has a great way of kicking you in the butt.

What a great feeling, right?! I too would role my eyes when people would say, "You're so tiny." I often respond with quips like, "You're crazy!" It took a long time to accept that I was not a big girl anymore. I am getting plastics in about 5 weeks. My doctor said I will go down another size or two...and I am already down to a 6!!!

My advice: Accept it! Own it! Work it!!!

I totally get this. I don't feel like I have lost weight but I have gone from a size 3x to a XXL so I know I have lost. Feels weird.

There might be some dysmporphia, or maybe you just DO carry your weight well. No can believe I weigh as much as I do. When I tell them my BMI is still overweight, they can't believe it. I don't know why that is, but I think it's partially the way my weight is distributed. Honestly, I thought I was having issues with dysmporphia, but now I don't think so.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
