I'm FREEZING and FED UP!

Recommended Posts

I'm not banded yet. will be soon. I'm so freaking hot all the time, washing the dishes over a hot sink has me dripping in sweat. Being cold almost sounds heavenly. I have to keep the house like a meat locker at night so I can sleep. At least after banding I'll save on electricity!!!

Thanks guys. I wonder if it could be ketosis..hmmmm! I drink a lot of V8, tuna, chicken, and salad. Maybe I'm doing Atkins and don't even know it! LOL Oh boy did that diet ever make me mean. I'll talk to my doctor on my next visit.

I also used to be hot all the time. I used to hate summertime with a passion. So this is so out of the norm for me. I dread nighttime because it's so hard to get warm even if I do bundle up. So weird!

I've been cold and now that it is somewhat summer in MT, I'm doing better. I still use the comforter at night while my DH is lying nekked next to me. I invested in lots of lap robes. It has been an adjustment as I've been one to wear t-shirts and bare feet in the winter. Now when I go somewhere, I have to remember layers. I used to never worry abou that.

I get REALLY grouchy when I'm hot. Matter of fact, in the summer, my two sons will warn my husband when he gets home if I'm hot and irritable. If I'm cold, I'm usually perky and happy. This would be a positive thing for me, my kids and my husband! I guess if an attitude adjustment comes with banding it's a win win situation all the way around. They will be so happy!!!

I was freezing also at the start I think it has to do with body fat loss. I do not have the condition anymore, but it was painful. Have you had any doplers completed for blood flow? I had them done b4 banding and all was perfect. Just a thought. Talk to a vascular Dr. maybe.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
