I am definitely the odd one out. I have gone everyday since the day after surgery and I am 3 weeks tomorrow. However, this definitely caught up with me as I had to have hydration yesterday (even though I was drinking the recommended amount of water!!).

I'm 2 days post-op and just went a little while ago. Hopefully it continues! I had problems with an anal fissure a couple years ago and NEVER want to go through that again... "like giving birth to a bouquet of razor blades" is how I describe it. I'm going to ask the surgeon at my follow-up next week of I will be allowed to mix in some psyllium Fiber with my Protein Shakes to keep things moving.

I'm almost 8 months out. Constipation has been my biggest problem. I don't want to speak too soon, but it seems to be better. I've lost 99 pounds. Now my constipation is better and I seem to be in a stall. It is always something!! For constipation, I suggest Smooth Move tea. Also Peppermint tea is a good remedy for your while GI tract. Once you are further down the road, you'll be able to eat more veggies and fruits. If you are having smoothies, throw in some prunes. good luck. it really does get easier.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
