5 months post op and Stalling help!

Recommended Posts

So I was sleeved 1/8/15 (Sw:277 Cw:238) and for the whole month of April I was stuck at 242lbs it looks like I knocked a few more pounds off since May has started but what do I do about my very slow weight loss? I'm in the gym for 5-6 hours a week! And I'm on a 0 carb 1,000 calorie diet

As directed! Oh and maybe I should add that I was on depo-provera shot which my last shot I received in February so it should be wearing off any day now.. But has this happen to anyone? does anyone know where this stall came from!! S.o.s!!

What kind of exercise are you doing?

Are you tracking your calories/protein?

Are you getting all your Water in?

You're not getting ANY carbs? Not even from veggies and fruits?

I'm doing 45 minutes of cardio and about 15 minute of weights.. Sometimes I'll toast or rice and pastas.. Not much at all tho.. Water intake?? I try but u honestly probably only get about 20oz in per day if that ????

Exercise seems good...are you eating enough? Maybe try upping your calories a little to compensate for the exercise.

Try to stay away from bread, rice and potatoes for now. Get your carbs only from non starchy, green veggies. And DRINK YOUR WATER! Try to get at least 60oz. I know it's so hard, but it helps with weight loss. It really does. Plus you're exercising, so you need to stay hydrated.

Try that and report back to us!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
