I went shopping at Lane Bryant today and I am down to a size 18 on the bottom and 14/16 on the top. I started at a size 24. My goal is 50 more lbs. Pretty soon I'll be shopping at a normal clothing store. I'll miss Lane Bryant though. I've been shopping there for years!

Nah, you won't miss LB, because you'll find so much more at so many places that you won't have to miss them.

Great NSV!!!!!!!

I definitely WON'T miss Lane Bryant! I loved their clothes but I hated having only one store to shop in. I can't wait for the day when I can go into J Crew or banana Republic and actually buy something.

Funny yet sad side note, I went into Lane Bryant a week ago to look for a bathing suit and the girl in there who knows me pretty well from shopping there all these years tries to pressure me to buy more things ("but we're having such a GREAT sale!"). I finally pull her aside and tell her that I don't want to buy anything because I was banded and wasn't sure what size I would be wearing. Well, she gave me the dirtiest look and said, and I quote, "well hurray for you" and walked away. Then I walked into Abercrombie to buy something for my son and the perky little teenage girl who works there came up to me with the best concerned face she could and said "I'm happy to help you but I don't think we carry your size". When I explained I was shopping for my son, she looked so relieved. I could have cracked her in half. So in one day, I got discriminated against for being too fat and too skinny. Crazy!

Cyndi, that sucks!

However, I gotta say, all those trust fund brats at Abecrombie are just horrible. I can't stand that store!

And Julie, that's great!

But I gotta say, you guys have got pretty good plus-size store, with layne bryant and torrid...the ones in canada are aweful

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
