Your surgeon didn't provide you with a diet plan with a list of recommended foods, liquids, calories, etc.? That's disturbing.

Here are the phases provided by my surgeon: http://www.360bariatrics.com/360-process/bariatric-diets/

Good luck!

I was provided with tons of literature. But doesn't make it any easier to get food in. I actually ate a whole banana over the course of an hour or so and was pretty proud of myself. My surgery date was on 3/25

For me Puree was week 4 (last week) and I could do about 2 oz of cottage cheese or chicken salad, about half of a yogurt or sugar free pudding. I do a Protein drink for Breakfast and have a early 11:00 lunch, so I typically have a snack about 3:00 and then dinner at 6:00ish...

It is crazy though that some doctors say only 3 meals a day, some say eat something every 3-4 hours, 3 meals 2 Snacks, etc... I just stick with what my plan says, and have had no problems so far. The thing I am most diligent about is getting all my fluids and Protein.< /p>

I wish I or anyone else could provide you with the perfect answer. I'm 22 soon to be 23 wks post op. I can say it does get better. However I have noticed it is a difficult dance and one I have yet to manage well. I can't eat large amounts of food so that's limitation 1, next there are things my sleeve simply will not tolerate well. Then the waiting 45min to an hour after eating.....I'm doing better than I was early on yet still find it challenging specifically when I am at work! Some days I feel as if I am eating all day long and know I don't get In my liquids. The. There are days it seems I drink all day long and don't get enough calories in. Personally I had a major set back in Jan this year which took a great toll on my body. I'm much better now and yet still dealing with a stall. Mainly because I'm still not getting in the calories and liquid needed. So my body thinks I'm in starvation mode..... It will get better. Use a timer/clock/ and alarms to help you pace eating more often during a days time and as a helpful tool for liquids

Tons of support for you!

(Right After surgery) i had a lil rough patch as well i had to stay in the hospital 4days after surgery because i had extreme nausea sorry for writing so much but now i just want to get pass the early stages so i can EAT not so i can see my results which is weird but as of now im so over this

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
