Well I got the 3rd fill and now I have restriction. The last one I had restriction for about a min, then nothing. I am hoping that this lasts a while. I am up to 5.5cc :)

Lets hear it for 5.5 CC. That is where I am at too. I was at 6 for about a week but found it to be too restricted and had to have some taken out.

I am feeling like a freak. I have a Fr. Midband and have had restricton since day one. I now have 2 ccs and feel "full" after 1 1/2 cups of food. If i eat too quickly I barf. I am told 1 cc more should do the trick for me. Does anyone else have restrictions from the outset???? Doddie

I am a little nervous to get a fill. Last time I had one I was in the hospital the naxt day getting some removed. But it has been a few weeks now and I have less restriction than before so I think I will set another appointment.

I had my 2nd fill 3 weeks ago. I now have 4ccs in a 9cc midband. I have more restriction but I can still eat more than 3 ounces of Protein and 1/2 cup of veggies at a meal. I can also still eat bread if I want, but I'm avoiding it. Any advice?

Sounds like you might need another fill. Are you losing 1-2 lbs per week?

I've lost 2 lbs since my fill. I'm due to weigh myself in 2 more days. (I was getting obsessed with the scale so have limited myself to weighing once a week). I go to the gym and do cardio/weights 3 to 5 times per week.

Hi: Don't go overboard in whatever you do. Over the years with all the weight loss programs I was always "gung ho" lost weight like made then fell back into old routines. Now, I am trying to change one bad habit at a time and as my doc says the weight will fall off as a result. To change a bad habit takes six weeks approx. consistantly doing the correct way. Initially I focussed on eating and not PBing. Now I have that down to one PB every 2 weeks or so now I have started the treadmill. I am told I must do 15 minutes a day to avoid joint problems and as my muscles strengthen then increase to 20 minutes a day. Do you have anyone giving you advice on how to plan an exercise program?

That's fantastic, Doddie, that you are getting on the treadmill now. I have yet to do any exercise since I got banded two weeks ago.

You're an inspiration to us all!

Congratulations on starting on the treadmill Doddie. :clap2: I joined a gym several months ago. Many of the women from my wls support group go. The trainer has set up a cardio and weight routine for me. He assesses my fitness level every 6 weeks or so and then adds/changes things as I progress. I've also signed up for a 'Learn to Run' clinic through the Running Room. It starts in July. For the first time in my life I am actually enjoying exercise. I always hated people when they said that!

One day I was feeling particularly frustrated with my husband and 3 teenagers. Normally I would have tried to eat my frustration away, but this time my first inclination was that I needed a walk so I called a girlfriend and we did 7k.

I am working on my food issues and have made some positive changes but I think it will always be an issue for me. I have never pb'd but I have experienced pain if I eat too fast or don't chew well enough. For most meals I limit myself to 1 cup of food (3 ounces of Protein and veggies) but I am either still hungry or become hungry again in less that 3 hours. I called my surgeon today to see about getting another fill. He will be on vacation til the end of July so I have some time to assess things. He will do my next fill under fluro. (My first fill was under fluro, the second one not).

I really appreciate the advice and support from this Board. Thanks! :)

Thanks Susan. I've felt a bit discouraged lately because it seems others are losing much faster than me. I keep trying to remind myself that this is an individual journey and as long as I continue to make positive changes I will be successful. I'm so used to my own negative selftalk though that sometimes it's hard.

Girl tell me about it! I take I step forward and 2 steps back! I have been so down on myself this week because I lost my restriction and my eating is way out of control. I keep saying what a failure I am! Then I remind myself that this is the reason I got the band, to help me control this aspect of my eating and it is not well adjusted yet.

It is hard to keep ones spirit up because it still takes as long to loose a pound as it did before the band. Some have advised to never get on the scale unless at your docors office. The weigh scale is the depressent but I still can't help having a peak. I too overeat and I am shocked how I can sabatogue the band if I let myself. Still, I can stop myself easier because of the restriction which I couldn't do before. The head games continue. Doddie

OK you're a freak :D.

All kidding aside, I have the French Midband as well and I do find Ihave a bit of a restriction (have not had any fills yet). If I eat a little bit more at lunch/dinner I find it very uncomfortable. I also find I'm not that hungry in the morning. The downside is that the fullness does not last very long and I find I'm eating several times a day.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
