I had surgery 2/11. Date of surgery weight 230, current weight 209. I have a very hard time still getting to 600 calories daily. I get my Protein in, but struggle to get my fluids. I work out 5 times a week for 30 minutes. Doc won't let me do more until I increase calories. Is anyone else struggling with calories?

Never pureed. Just cooked slowly in a slow cooker so it's good and moist/ I chew it well and take my time. I'm able to get maybe 2-3 oz down at a sitting

I make Soups with meat in it so I can get in more than one ounce. Lol Im not sure I could eat it otherwise. Ground is def easier. I forgot about cottage cheese. Ill pick some up tonite!

And I cant eat scrambled eggs yet either. Makes NO sense. They r soft. Lol But I have seen a lot of folks have a hard time with them. We r not alone haha

Old habits die hard- I was sleeved 2/26 and have lost almost 18 pounds the first month. My father is in the hospital and I was taking my granddaughter to see him. I stopped by Popeye's (chicken place) to pick up food for my mother, grand and myself. I ordered a four piece chicken meal and a surf and turf meal. What the hey-hey was I thinking? My granddaughter wasn't interested in anything. I ate 3 little shrimp and probably 6 fries and was full. My mother ate the rest of the surf and turf. The chicken meal I sent home with her. In the past, I would've eaten two pieces of chicken an entire thing of fries and probably part of the other meal. It truly did NOT dawn on me that there was no way I was going to be able to eat that much, and it's spicy to boot.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
