I have to be there at 10:30am, surgery at 12:30pm. Sounds like you may be his first patient of the day. He told me he had surgery all day today and tomorrow. Are you nervous? How did your pre-op go? I'm feeling tired, hungry and weak.

I'm working today, but I wish I would have taken the day off.

Are you packed? What did you pack?

I don't have a date yet, but I'm with Dr. Hart and I'm in Sugar Hill/Suwanee area. I'll be at Emory at Johns Creek as well. Good luck everyone!

@@MoJo119 I am feeling extremely tired and wishing that I took the day off as well. It's hard to concentrate. I have not packed but I have an idea on what I want to take with me. I am hoping to be the first one so I can get to recovery and my room. I am extremely nervous and anxious at the same time.

I certainly hope we can stay in touch while at the hospital. I will be using my cell phone there and I'm not sure if I can get the alerts like I do with the computer. I plan to take toiletries, a pair of slippers, a robe, and shorts.

I have friend who had a gastric bypass with Dr. Hart a few years ago. I heard he was a good surgeon. Johns Creek is way too far for me to travel, especially if there are complications. Good luck to you!

yes, we can stay in touch while there. I will have my iPad so I will check in once I'm feeling good. I just packed and I am taking about the same as you. My mom is going to stay with me in the hospital. I can't talk her out of it...she is such a worry wart....so I think her staying is more for her than me...lol

Anyway, I'll talk to you later. Best wishes with everything, I'll say a prayer for you.

I'm extremely lucky because Dr. Hart is less than a mile from my work. I've only heard great things about him and I was impressed when I met him. He reviewed my file before even walking into the room. He knew I had asthma, PCOS, and a steroid hypersensitivity without even looking at my chart. I was shocked. I think I'm in good hands and it's always nice to have confidence in your surgeon before undergoing major surgery!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
