Hi BariatricPal members!

Do you scour the web for weight loss surgery videos? Do you love to share great bariatric surgery videos when you find or make them? Wouldn’t it be nice if you could come to one place to find and share bariatric surgery videos? Now you can!

Announcing…BariatricPal’s new Video Gallery! This is your one-stop shop for all kinds of videos related to weight loss surgery. Each video has a short description so you know what you’re about to watch, and it’s related – in some way – to weight loss surgery. Of course, all videos are BariatricPal member-approved.

You can also post links to your favorites on Youtube, Google Video, Flickr, Vimeo, Vine, Facebook Video and others. Just make sure it meets the BariatricPal criteria for relevance and good taste – no offensive content, please. Write a short summary, so other members know what they’re clicking on, and put the video or link into the appropriate category. You’ll find the list of categories on the Video Gallery page.

I hope you enjoy the video gallery! Please let me know if you have any suggestions or feedback!

Thanks for adding the video category. I think it's a great idea to put all the videos in one place. Just posted my newest video of my adventure with C25K.

But will notifications of newly posted videos show up somewhere on the sidebar (like in the "Recent Topics" sidebar) for those of us that want to know when a new one has been posted?

Thanks,

Try to recruit some your fellow YouTubers if at all possible, please!

We're going to add a Video sidebar in a few weeks, good suggestion.

Hey Alex, just wanted to update you. I've been putting the word out to fellow WLS content creators on Youtube about Bariatricpal and the video forum. I've started adding Baritaricpal links in my Youtube descriptions as well. I'm sure there will be plenty of people that will appreciate the help and support Bariatricpal offers it's members and they won't feel like they're going through this "adventure" alone.

Randy

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
