Guys,

Does anyone here have full tattoo sleeves or tattoos in general? If so how do they look after wls? I do not have an incredible amount of fat in my arms. I work out quite a bit and just always had quite a bit of muscle under this mess. I am just curious how tattos cosmetically look after a dramatic weight loss

I have one on my back and one on my hip. They look bigger now that I'm smaller :)

Other than that I haven't seen a difference.

I have a half sleeve and others that look great. My arms are skinny now, but the ink is good.

This is something that I was wondering about as well. I have many tattoos and need cover ups as well but want to wait until I lose a lot of weight.

I don't have any tattoos yet and was thinking of loosing a few more pounds so that I don't have any issues with the look of the design changing. I guess the opposite could be true for those guys that get ink on their arms and then do some serious weight lifting.

a concern for me as well. a half sleeve®, shoulder and upper arm(l), and across my upper chest. so far things seem to be fine even with 150 lost. REALLY glad i never inked my stomach or thighs! not really many options any way. better health is by far the best ink i have ever had.

Speaking of this I was thinking about getting my starting weight tattooed in roman numerals somewhere on my wrist area.

To let it be a constant reminder of a place I never want to be again.

My next (second tattoo) is exactly that...
It'll be my starting weight in Roman numerals with "Never again..." in Latin underneath...
I 'drew' it up just under year ago and have been carrying it around in my wallet since then...
I said I'd have it done once I hit the 100kg (220lb) lost mark...
Well, that's come and gone but the thing is still in my wallet and not on me...
I'll try to post a pic over the weekend...
I thought about putting somewhere visible (I have a forearm tatt on my left arm) but have decided that it's going on my chest...
My decision was thus as it's really for me, and not necessarily a public thing...

I was thinking of getting one as a reward, when I reach my goal and tone up some. It will either be left chest or shoulder. Sub warfare dolphins. I have always thought of having it done, but never did.

I know it's been a while but I've just worked out how to post properly...

Anyway, here it is...

post-254366-0-67919000-1462180089_thumb.png

I'm not sure whether I explained it previously so I'll do so again...

It's the sheet music to a section of Sinatra's 'My Way' which means something to me...

It's the bit where the lyrics are as follows...

"For what is a man

What has he got

If not himself

Then he has naught

He'll say the things

He truly feels

And not the words

Of one who kneels"

And the next one will look like this...

post-254366-0-98685900-1462180277_thumb.png

As stated, it's my starting weight (255kgs) in Roman numerals, with "Never again..." in Latin...

It's going on my left pec/chest...

That'll take some shaving!!!!

Nothing more planned at this stage...

But I'm pretty sure there will be...

Nice!!

I'm getting my starting weight with Never Again in Italian. Will probably do it once I am close to the end. Figured on my inner wrist area. Haven't decided which arm though.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
