FUNYONS - NO DUMPING-

Recommended Posts

I am in my sixth week and a friend had a huge bag of Funyons at work....

While they were off doing work in another room...I grabbed about 3 of

them....Chewed them well......They went down with no issue....

Now I got to make sure I stay away from that unhealthy food.....

Seems I dump on just about everything but cheese and Yogurt........

but my body likes the unhealthy junk food.....Funyons is a Onion based

food but I know all the processing and added ingredients make it a

bad choice....but it was nice to have a few.....

Lol!

I think the key is to not push too hard. I have a little. I've dumped once in 7 months and it was from TUNA! Maybe the mayo in the tuna.. Or the Ruffles I was dipping in the tuna....

Anyways..

You are allergic. You know better. You are responsible for your pouch and you know what's bad. Cause you may have the reaction of breaking out in fat. Been there..,right?

Sorry.

Not to mention Funyuns will never get you laid. True Story.

Yea but like I said it was nice to be able to eat something other than Yogurt and cheese.....

Before the Surgery I never threw up....SInce I dump all the time...Mostly because I eat

too fast...I am not used to eating a small piece of food and then waiting before I eat

another small piece....The Fuyons did not do that to me...I could eat them back to

back.....

If anyone out there is about to lose their mind and want a small break try those

Snacks and you can live to fight another day....3 funyons will not make you gain

weight..but the pleasure of he taste was wonderful.....

I would rather my breath smell like Onions than Puke....That really won't get you laid...

I love funyons!! Before bed I like to snack. So I found a small bag of sun chips and I was able to eat some of them with no problems. Now I can't stand the taste of regular food and it doesn't like to stay down. I was kind of disappointed that junk food still tasted good to me.

No more bedtime snacking for me or this surgery would have been for nothing. I do think every once in a while we need to indulge!!

For me snacking is all about nuts. You get the crunch, salt, Protein and they fill you up for a long while. After talking with my nutritionist yesterday she was happy that I have made nuts, cheese or beef Jerky my snack choices.

More importantly she wanted to make sure I was realizing that I was hungry before choosing a snack. I don't always do this so now I am really tring hard to pay attention to my hunger to make sure it is real.

I think I might try the peanuts.....Even some Peanut Butter.....I love having the surgery but

I hate having to eat so slow......

It is a stuggle for me...

I love funyuns too!!! They are a little better for you than regular chips (I think). Anyhow, nothing hard or crunchy for me yet. But I have a feeling that they are not going to bother me either. So far nothing bothers me :/ No dumping either. I am actually a little disappointed...........

@@lovedXJesus, don't be disappointed, be thrilled. From what I have heard it is an absolute nightmare if you get dumping, they tell me everyone can get it, some just get it easier than others, I try not to tempt the hands of fate.

I can pretty much eat anything I want as well and yes I have had a bite of dessert here or there (very rare). I do believe if I ate enough of something sweet or overly fatty I would get sick.

I feel blessed that if I have a real craving for something that as long as I start with eating Protein and good carbs first, I can have that bite without getting sick.

I would not wish dumping on my worst enemy. I just believe we have to make ourselves accountable instead of depending on a really bad dumping experience to do it for us.

Just my two cents....

Hey Lovexjesus....If you don't chew your food..You will dump....If you eat some Cake or Ice Cream...

You gonna dump....It hurts.....You puke a few times.....You roll over on the floor in agony......

You feel like your belly is going to burst......Then in about a hour.....You feel better but

you Belly seems to be more tender and less tolerant to food......

If you have not dumped....Keep walking that straght path.....That is the best direction

to go.....

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
