Oh why you feeling frustrated? You are done with the toughest part.... Oh what I would give to be on the other side of the tunnel.

Please take care of yourself... You are gonna come thru.... Share your experience.

Welcome! Spend some time ready older posts and you will see that nearly everyone is frustrated about a month or so out. Are you in a stall? Lot's of threads on that. I had my first stall from week 3 through about week 7, then again recently for about 2 weeks. But, as you can see from my profile, the weight is coming off.

Or are you frustrated because you're reading about others who lost more weight than you in a similar amount of time? If so, don't compare. Your journey is your journey and will be different than anyone else's. BUT, there are lots of common experiences and this place is a great resource for finding out about lots of things.

Have a great weekend!

Ellen

Hi I know good things take time. I don't want to fall back into old habits. I need to restart a gym routine. I find if I don't obsess so much over the amount of weight I am losing daily I feel better about my progress. I have lost 33lbs since my sleeve on 12/10 but I still have a good 50lbs left. Thank you for your kind words

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
