I can't believe I hadn't seen this thread before! I am from Glendale. I had my surgery on May26th with Dr. Graf at Banner Estrella! Been feeling really good lately!!! I am down 31lbs from surgery and 40lbs from pre-op diet!!! Glad to see Everyone on a thread!! Anyone else used banner for surgery? Or even Dr. Graf?? Loved him!

I'm in Phoenix and have seen Dr Graf at Banner. So I'm just starting the medically supervised diet required by my insurance. However, I'm also seriously considering doing self pay in Tijuana. After calculating the copays and deductibles, Mexico will still be slightly more expensive but without jumping through all the hoops.

I went to TJ from Scottsdale with ALM and Dr. Elias Ortiz. Could not have had a better experience!

I went to St . Luke's. Staff are great. Dr Juarez was my surgeon. Great surgeon.

I'm 2 1/2 weeks out. Dr Juarez did mine too. Great surgeon!

7/21 that's awesome! How much have you lost?

For me pre liquid diet 285 SW 271 CW 263 I feel like I've been a little bit of a,slow loser but overall still happy worth my decision

@mataz78: I've done pretty well. Highest weight: 278, sleeved weight 262, current weight: 246. But I still can't tell any difference in myself which is a little frustrating.

It will happen all of a sudden, trust me! Your clothes will fit one day and then the next they are too big

Hi! I'm trying to find a center to get a revision surgery (Lapband to Sleeve) any recommendations? Thanks!

I used Dr Swain at Scottsdale Healthcare, now HonorHealth Scottsdale Shea (?) -- not for a revision, but for gastric bypass - he was terrific for me --

Dr. Swain has a great reputation. Dr. Blackstone did my sleeve and not one complication. Make sure you have an excellent surgeon.

I'm in Tucson and have started the process to get approved through BCBS Federal. I'm seeing Dr. Monash. I will hopefully jump through all the hoops for approval in July 2016.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
