  4. Good luck to both of you!!! I'm excited for you guys. As for the carb withdrawal, it's a lot easier than you think. To be honest I haven't had any cravings for sweets or carbs. The harder part for me was meeting my Protein. It's a daily struggle, but I meet it. Week and half out, I'm meeting protein and Water, down 10 lbs. Good luck! 8. I was 8lbs heavier after surgery. Could not understand it, other than all the liquids they were pumping into me. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  10. @@SusanB55 My surgery went great!! I was fortunate to have Dr. Lavoto perform the surgery and Dr. Monash follow up and release me from hospital. Up until them I had not met Dr. Monash but I was very impressed by him. No complications. Extreme discomfort after surgery (as expected). I was up the same night walking the halls. I had to stay an extra night because I was unable to keep any liquids down. Everything made me nauseous. Now I'm great, meeting my protein and water. No hunger. Best of luck to you and your husband. Real quick, I really liked Dr. Lovato and Dr. Monash. I would highly recommend them. I had consulted with other surgeons, and I am glad I chose Lavato.

  14. I was wondering how you feel after surgery. I have never had any kind of surgery and I am terrified as to how I'm going to feel the first couple days after surgery. If you could share how you felt I would appreciate it. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  16. I didn't have a pre op diet. My surgery is scheduled for Wednesday. For the last week I have been eating lighter, no carbs or fried foods. Now through surgery I put myself on a liquid diet. Again my doctor didn't put me on a diet but after reading how many people were on a diet, I decided to put myself on one. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  20. Hi, I'm scheduled April 20, in Tucson, AZ. My doc didn't put me on a diet prior. Confused as to why some people are and others aren't. I feel the same way as you. I'm excited but scared at the same time. I really love food but I don't like how I feel and look. I just keep telling myself I need to do this and I can do it and I'll be ok. 21. @@Apple85 nice to have someone from the same office. I've heard great things from Dr. Monash. Staff is great. I got approved through BCBS AZ in less than a week and the process has been downhill from here. Good luck Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
