Help! Burping is out of control :/

Hi everyone! I'm one month post op and I've been feeling great since day one but I have uncontrollable burping! It's starting to really freak me out that I can be in public and let it out. For example this morning I've been burping for 30 mins straight. If I don't let it out, I feel the pain. Anyone experience this? What did you do?

What type of surgery did you have?

Burping is usually caused by air so maybe you're somehow taking air in someway. See if there's something you're doing and if not check with your doctor.

I burp too, but not that long. Just a couple of burps after I eat. I think it's like a baby... You have to get that gas out somehow. I'd just go with it.

@@vane1383, I was having something similar. I am 3 weeks post-sleeve. I saw my NUT who said to try a non-whey Protein shake, since whey gives some people digestive issues including burping. She also suggested to not blend the Protein Shake, or even shake too much, because that introduces air into it. I followed her suggestion and am burping far, far less now. I read this article which talks about why.

If you are still drinking a lot of Protein shakes, then perhaps this will help you too. Good luck, and let us know what you discover.
