How is everyone? Day 3 and I'm drinking more Water. Still not enough. Can too much water burst my tummy? I get mild gas cramps after drinking water. I ditched the Powerade for now and am drinking essentia.

I get to move to smoothies today. Scared and excited. About to go and try. Wish me luck. Fingers crossed no foamed.

Yes you can drink too much and stretch your stomach! I was 3 days out and I had not drank enough the day before plus I got diarrhea so to combat both I drank almost 100oz that day. My nurse & nutritionist said don't do it again! It will stretch out your stomach.

100oz is crazy girl! You must've been peeing all day lol! It won't stretch out unless you're doing that every day but this early you could hurt yourself. Small sips. Crazy how you read this stuff for months but don't really understand till you're feeling it.

I don't have a scale either. I lost 9 pre op and that made me wish I tried harder. I'm going to try and avoid buying a scale and wait for my post op appointment on the 13. Hoping for at least another 10 down. My goal is to be out of the 300s by June 27th.

O think as much as we want to know Amie2790, it's better for us if we don't buy a scale, lol! I know that if I owned one I would be watching it daily and getting depressed if it didn't move. I plan on working out a lot after I recoup so I know I will be building muscle and that will make the scale not move as much at times buy I will still lose inches, and ultimately that's what I want to see anyway. My post op is Monday so I will update u on what my scale said then. Hopefully it will be some what of a decent loss. Lol!! Good luck!! We've already conquered one goal and that was to have the surgery! I cant tell you how long it has been that I have even been able to see a minus in my weight so even though it was only 7 lbs pre -op I'm forcing myself to be OK with it because it wasn't a plus, it was a negative. I will take any negative I can get at this point, lol!! Can't wait to hear how your post op goes!! GL!!

Please tell me the secret to drinking so much. I can barely get in 30 oz and I feel like I am floating away. My doctor has said I might need to go to infusion. Right now all I want to do is sleep, and maybe curl up and die. It hurts every sip I take.

I can tell you @@amchurch12000 my liquid intake is getting lower and lower and it's worrying me because I have so much pain every sip I take. Hang in there and just push yourself. I see my doc on Monday and if no better I'm going to see what I can do about this.

Are you still taking pain meds? Make sure you walk as you sip - that helps it move through. I had to go upstairs to the bathroom (alot) and i think that helped me. Presurgery i had been going to the gym and i think that made a difference too. I woke up feeling almost normal today but my mantra has been sip sip sip walk walk walk.

Well now that I have gotten my day started, I'm seeing the same thing. The chest issue has gotten way better. I can actually sip my Water and am fine for the most part. I'm doing the same, sip, sip, sip, walk, walk, sip, sip.... Lol!! But it does make a difference. I'm just so thankful that today has been a difference from the other days!!!

I'm not understanding....I'm 6 days out ,I can drink and I get no pain from it I was lucky enough not to have gas that hurt me except a little in my stomach. I can gulp Water and I feel nothing .... what's with that ? I'm kinda wondering if I even got the sleeve at all. Please tell me there's someone else out there that feels the same .kinda worried .maybe he didn't take enough of my stomach.

@@yoyolie Your surgeon may have used a wider bogey, or you didn't have swelling. I'm certain if you tried to drink alot all at once you'd feel it. Talk to your dr for your follow up. Make sure you still have your liver!

@@yoyolie I have read and heard from other sleeves that they too felt exactly as you have. I would feel very grateful if I were in your shoes. I was so hoping I would get to be like that, but it just didn't turn out that way for me... Lol

Yes I was in the bathroom all day lol! I had the worst splitting headache for the first two nights home and they told me I wasn't getting enough fluids, so I was determined to not let that happen again! Then the diarrhea......and I knew that causes dehydration so I felt like I had no choice but to drink more. I didn't want to be back in the hospital. I didn't realize I drank so much until I added it all up at the end of the day! I haven't done it since, in fact I am struggling right now to get 64oz in.

You have to schedule it! I start the day with my food, wait 30 mins and sip until 30mins before lunch (with a shake in there somewhere) I measure or at least pay attention to the oz. I sip all day up until I go to bed. Now that I am in phase 2 diet & I am back to normal life I do find it harder because I am fuller & busier but I had no trouble the first 2 weeks! I just need to prioritize better. Good luck!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
