January Sleevers ❄️

Recommended Posts

Sleeved on 1/19 and lost 30 lbs since surgery. So from my perspective you're doing great! I'm with the other posters - my loss is kind of staccato - lose then stall, lose then stall. I've been in a lose for about 2 weeks (yee hah!). I'm preparing myself for patience in the stall that will surely come next (boo).

You all are doing great. Sounds like we all lose and stall, lose and stall. More inches than pounds

I am so glad I had the sleeve. I feel victorious.

I have not had Hair loss, I started taking Biotin before my surgery and continued after. It was not on my list the Dr gave me but it dissolves under my tongue so I sneaked it. I must say my skin and nails look great.;)

If the acne is hormonal, then so must be the Hair loss. Testosterone can be blamed for acne and hair loss among men and women. I'm not a doctor but that's my logic.

Zzzombrie, My oldest daughter dealt with the acne with hard notts under the skin. Her hair dresser that was also a makeup artist told her to put Calamine lotion on it , That it would kill the bacteria . It worked and she no longer deals with it. She suffered for years. I just thought I would share this with you

Today and the last few days the scale has not moved, but it is ok. I can tell the inches are coming off. I passed the mirror and was so surprised to see a girl I had not seen in a long time. I smiled and she smiled back. :)

My batteries are dead in my scales but I'm pretty sure I've been stuck at 248 for a couple weeks. 30 lbs list since Jan 15th but I couldn't eat for a couple weeks which I'm sure caused the stall, picking up some batteries tonight, lol

I'm on vacation right now and don't have my weight scale, food scale, gym or many of the things I've come to count on. In one week I'll be home, and hopefully pleased with my status. I rented a bike on vacation so every day I'll go for a ride to make sure I get exercise. I'm a little nervous about not being able to see my weight change daily.

@@winter1023 Thanks for the tip. I'll give it a try. At this point, I'm considering Accutane.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
