I had my gastric bypass surgery on 02/12 and I stayed overnight at the hospital (Emory at John's Creek, GA). The procedure took about 2 hours, then I was in recovery, then eventually taken to my room.

I had a hiatal hernia as well

Having a rough time of it tonight. Left the hospital in zero pain. Now I'm feeling miserable. I only had Tylenol when I left. Now I have to wait for that to wear off until I can take the liquid Vicodin. Ugh. And I've had diarrhea really bad. And I can't pee. I really, really wish they didn't discharge me after 1 day. Meh.

I had RNY on 2/13 and have found it difficult to get enough fluid. I got 60 g protein today but only 30 total ozs. I feel full and dont want to overdo. Suggestions?

Hi

I had my unexpected bypass on the 13/02. I am a lapband revision and originally wanted the sleeve, finally persuaded by my doctor to have bypass just before surgery because of scar tissue concerns and that he didn't want me to have an irreversible procedure. I'm still getting my head around the fact that I have had bypass!

Hoping not to be a slow loser because I'm a revision as I am getting married in September. Cannot wait to start feeling healthy again and so happy not to have my band anymore!

Good luck everyone x
