  3. I was denied at first also. I think it standard practice to deny but just keep at it. My doctor had me approved within 3 mos. Even with the initial denial.
  4. I had dark and tarry. Expected from old blood during surgery and also the Lovenox (blood thinner) injections I got after surgery. With no solids for so long it took a few weeks to clear up.
  5. Im 2 wks post op today. Finally in purees yay! Had my ff refried Beans yum! On a bad note... I stretched back in the recliner last night and popped open one of my incision sites pretty good. Er cleaned it and put steri sttips on it. Said it would have to heal from the inside out. Which should take a little while bummer. I have to return to work in 3 weeks. My work is quite physically demanding so I'm nervous. Also I have not lost anything the last few days. Still trying to get enough fluids, unsuccessfully. Trying not to get frustrated. hw: 238, sw 230, cw 220.

  7. The dizzy spells are most likely caused by low blood pressure which is a result of dehydration. As you drink more fluids that will pass. I experienced the same problem and that is what my doctor told me.
  8. Hahaha SugarFreeMe... not touching that with a 10ft pole lol
  9. I am 11 days post RNY. I know that I am mildly dehydrated but I'm having difficulty with getting my fluids. I am craving salt, specifically pickles. I have put a slice in my mouth and just sucked the juice off and spit the pickle out. I know this probably isn't very good for my healing pouch, but I am seriously in need of salt.
  10. I'm now on day 9... the staples came out yesterday (at my insistence.. they wanted to wait another week) and it made a huge difference. Now only mild pain getting in out of bed or bending over. Dr said I'm dehydrated and if I can increase my fluids then I'll start to feel even better so that's my goal.
  11. Eveybody says they never get that full feeling. That has not been the case with me. I always feel full. I don't want anything... not popsicles, jello, protein shakes, or water. I'm really struggling at 5 days out (band to rny) to get 30 ounces a day. I'm not having much pain. But I do feel a little light headed like my blood sugar is low. Havent found many people that are experiencing the same things.
  12. Im just the opposite. Im 4 days post op and i dont want anything. Im struggling to get fluids - today only 30 oz. I feel full. Im supposed to drink 5 oz/hr but have only managed this once or twice... mostly I'm 3 or none. I dont want to stretch or damage my pouch but don't want to be dehydrated or sickly full feeling either.
  13. I had RNY on 2/13 and have found it difficult to get enough fluid. I got 60 g protein today but only 30 total ozs. I feel full and dont want to overdo. Suggestions?
  14. The Genepro says it stimuates insulin.... isnt this what causes dimping?

  16. Thanks yall. Im trying to be patient but its difficult right now.
  17. Ive had almost zero sugar intake for 3 days and am worried about hypoglycemia. Should I be drinking juice along with my clear proteins?
  18. I was banded in 2011 and also had some scar tissue. My surgery took 3 hrs. The site of my port removal is by far my worst pain site. Im day 3 postop. How about you?
  19. Day 3 postop and my gut is just a rumbling. Is this gas that will pass or is this more long term? I think I remember seeing comments about this but dont recall the answers. Im taking gasx chewables and walking. Help?
