I had my gastric bypass surgery on 02/12 and I stayed overnight at the hospital (Emory at John's Creek, GA). The procedure took about 2 hours, then I was in recovery, then eventually taken to my room.

Sounds great to me i haven't been in a swimsuit since i was 19 I'm hoping too I've always been sooo insecure about my body hoping this surgery will do even more then just improve my health but a complete makeover mind body & soul im going to be put under in this old body .. by the grace of god wake-up in a body with a tool to help me toward my new journey in life good luck everyone keep in touch as we progress toward our goals : )

Okay seriously… A bowel prep after three weeks of a liquid diet is kind of ridiculous. I got over half a gallon of the stuff left to drink and I was already "finished" after 20 minutes.

And less than 24 hours, I'll be on the losers bench! Crazy!

Good luck Melanie36 and Tiffanyaok. ???? Just keep in mind how you felt when you started this journey!

Had GB 2/10. My only surprise was I thought I would be on a 2 week liquid diet afterward, but it's actually 4 weeks!! I just want some soup (no broth) for goodness sake...but no...4 weeks. I'll survive, but my tastebuds are dying for something other than artificial sweetener!! I guess I need to just shut it, because the weight is falling off. I'm 5 days postop and have lost 8lbs. YEA!

How was your pain level after GAPeach?

I will admit the first night was painful. I'm a stomach sleeper so sleeping on my back was different. I was drinking so much liquid I had to get up (with 6 stitched up places in my tummy) and go pee every hour. All of which added up to a terrible night. I should have taken the pain meds earlier! After the first night it has gotten better each additional. My tummy is just barely sore today.

You got this!!

Holy crap! It's surgery day. Eeeeck!!! Awake, going to shower, will pack a few things, and then we make the 1 hour drive to the hospital. Yikes! I'll be in surgery around 11am. Send good thoughts! I'll likely vs back tomorrow to give a short update.

Will be thinking of you chubby 1 during your surgery tomorrow my surgery was last Monday I was so nervous my blood pressure sky rocketed they knew it was nerves anesthesiologist wasn't concern once they gave me sedative I calmed down.
