I had my gastric bypass surgery on 02/12 and I stayed overnight at the hospital (Emory at John's Creek, GA). The procedure took about 2 hours, then I was in recovery, then eventually taken to my room.

Melanie, I had the gastric bypass surgery (Roux-en-Y). My Dr. mentioned that this procedure could be outpatient, in and out basically. But nooo way for me. I chose to stay overnight.

So far so good. Lost 14 pounds since 02/12. Take care everyone.

I haven't noticed any weightloss since my weighin last week...am I doing something wrong

This pre op diet is killing me. I'm down probably 10 lbs with another week to go. I'm snowed in the last 2 days and have picked up knitting again to keep me busy. It's helped some. Plus it's hard to exercise and I'm tired I guess it's the limited calories. But one week tomorrow I will be on the other side. Just trying to push thru.

Good luck to the people ha I g surgery today!! I'll be thinking of you!! It's so reassuring to see everyone posting after the surgery. Mine is Thursday and I'm getting super nervous now!!

Thank you lucky! Good luck to you too!!

Aaahhhh. Tomorrow's the day! I'm just packing up and preparing some last minute things right now. I fly out to San Diego early tomorrow morning and then having my gastric sleeve in Tijuana. I'm excited but also a nervous wreck!

Looks like everyone is doing great after surgery... YEA!!! ????

Good luck everyone joining the February Fabulous Losers this week!

1 week postop weight check: -10.6 lbs. WOOP! Couldn't be happier.

Let's keep kicking this FatMonster in the butt!!????

February is rocking and sounds like everyone is moving along. I had pre op today so now just a little over a week before take off. I have given up sugar and caffiene on my own and stuck to it so far. There is a desire to binge though since I don't have a pre op diet...only one day of Clear Liquids. I just hope I have a smooth time as well.

I am going to finally have to tell my MIL who lives with us. I have put it off hoping her new place would come through and I wouldn't have to listen to her negativity. But alas it will be another opportunity for me to practice not punching her in the face. :)

Hi all well I am in my hospital room I have a drain in but should get taken out before I go home. I I'm having quite a bit of pain but they are doing thei r best to control it. Dr. Found a hiatal hernia which the doctor repaired also was adhesions but all went well. my oxygen has been dipping down. I am very sleepy but wanted to give everyone a heads up. I DID IT.
