1 week post op today. Got my staples removed. finally starting to feel better. Things have been much more painful then I expected. Today they said in reviewing the notes from surgery there was a lot of adhesions on my abdominal wall and that combined with the hiatal hernia repair is most likely the reason for the Pain. Each day is getting better and I will say I am very thankful I haven't had the nausea and vomiting some have suffered with. I am using the smooth moves chamomile tea to keep things moving as I am prone to constipation anyway and it has been working wonderfully and actually tastes really good. I have been having a cup each evening. Wondering what others are using for calcium supplement. I am suppose to take 600mg of calcium citrate twice a day. I have.loved reading all the updates from our february group. it has been so amazing to hear from others in the same boat. Anyone else have hiatal hernia repair and/or adhesions just wondering how it went for you particularly the pain aspect. Good luck to all those that are getting ready for surgery and continued healing for those now on the losers bench. This has been such a long process, I still can hardly believe I have had the surgery and am starting my new life.

It is great to hear from those that had their surgery. Congrats and keep us posted on your progress. I am in the first couple days of my two week pre op diet and it is tough. I went and got my hair cut today, to pamper myself a little. the 17th Seems Far Away AND Close At THE Same time. I am so excited and nervous. I got lip moisturizer and gas x strips to take to hospital. Also planning on bringing my robe and pillow. 8 Got Some Fuzzy Posters AND Markers to keep My Hands Busy Thought It Might be HELPFUL To Distract from food thoughts. I ordered a sample pack of syntrax nectar 15 single servings of all the different flavors for 15 dollars and 1.99 shipping. Looking forward to trying the fun flavors. If anyone has ideas on other things for the hospital Or any other advice or tips I would love to hear from you. Would also love to hear what others are planning for once home from hospital for their diet of full liquids.

OMG that is the same download I found, lol. Sounds tough, but you've got this :-) How are you feeling about your upcoming surgery? I ask because I am going between slightly anxious and scared out of my bleeping mind. I Am Also VERY Excited. Seems odd to have such mixed emotions. So wondering if it is just me.

Hi Kimzie, I had my preop Monday. This was my within 30 days of surgery preop. They listened to heart and lungs, went over meds, weighed, blood work and EKG. I am sure all places are different on what's required but most is pretty basic. Sorry I have never heard of milk diet before bit I google uk milk diet and did get information about it, it seems pretty common over there. I must say it did not sound easy but as we know this process will not be and remember it is just another step towards "freedom". Good luck I know you can do it

Kimzie, that is awesome... I know I am so excited. My pre op is the 26th. I start my pre op diet on the 3rd of feb. Mine is 3 protein shakes and then a diet frozen meal like lean cuisine or something and a cup of veggies/salad per day. Definitely not as bad as some people have to do. Do you have a pre op diet? I know you are far away from me, but still nice to have someone on the same day to share with :-)

    New to forum

Hi I've been reading here for quite some time. But this is my first post. My surgery date is February 17th 2015 and I must say I am very excited but also very nervous. I start my pre op diet on February 3rd. My highest weight is 336 my current weight is 295. My brother had the sleeve September 2nd and had many complications. I feel I really need to do this for myself as I have many medical problems due to my weight. I'm diabetic have high blood pressure, high cholesterol and fibromyalgia. Oh yeah also I'm 44 years old. Anyway that's pretty much my story I very much appreciated reading all the stories on here and felt it was probably time to share. I want to say thank you for the people that post all their positive experiences, it has truly helped me try to stay positive during this whole process.
