that damn scale

Recommended Posts

is moving again!!!!

i got a fill on thursday weighing 219 (well that was my lowest, i was fluctuating between 219-226) anyhow i dont count a gain unless its more than 5 lbs. (ok 6 )

they added .3 cc's bringing my fill level to 3.7 cc's i left the office wondering if i had restriction as i was able to pretty effortlessly kill a bottle of Water.< /p>

Anyhow...I AM RESTRICTED!!! more so than i EVER have been.

i am really tight in the morning hot liquids go down slowly but cool ones dont at all, they just sit in pouchy.

i ate some snackage saturday night right before bed. BIG MISTAKE...tight chest feeling doesnt let you relax enough for sleep. last night i made a choice not to eat 4 hours before bed time to avoid food in my pouch when i am sleeping. new thing for me i used to could eat at bedtime if i wanted

meats well i think i am tight enough that i may have to cut some out, i brought homade beef stoganoff (YES i cooked it!) for lunch today... i pb'd :sick...i think it was a tiny bit of beef. i also cut the beef in tiny chunks before cooking...i THOUGHT i chewed good enough

ok and heres the BIG ONE!!!!!

i am down 3 pounds since thursday from my lowest post op wieght!!!! i am now 216!!!!!!!

only 16 lbs from my original goal and 26 lbs from my new goal!

LOVE YA'LL!!!!!!

Congratulations on being so close to goal, Michelle. Man, if I was that restricted, I'd think there was something wrong for sure. :) You are certainly a veteran bandster. Hope this fill does the trick for you. It looks like it is! :Bunny

hey penni!

i went to dr shack he is the head of plastic surgery at vanderbilt. his # is 615-322-2350.

he was very nice and proffessional he took the time to answer ALL my questions. lol i get to start calling my ins co in a week and bugging them. i really hope my stomach is approved. the dr said no way it has to hang below the 'sunshine' and the lady who handles ins. approvals said she thought it would be approved. i am going with her answer because i like it better! we'll see!

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
