How much did you lose in Month 3?

Recommended Posts

By month 3, I was losing about 15lbs a month. Months 1 and 2 were the biggest losses, averaging about 19lbs each month. My doc wanted me to stay on track to lose 12 - 15lbs a month and eat about 800 - 1000 calories a day. And walk at least 30 minutes a day. As I say, I'm not a fast loser, and I'm not a slow loser, I'm a half-fast loser. :D

I'm losing one pound every other week. I go to the gym and do aerobics and weights. Seems pretty slow to me, but glad I'm still losing!

Thanks for posting this question, this morning I woke up feeling discourage. Since my surgery on Octorber 29th 2014, I have lost only 10-12 lbs. I work out when i can and expect to see some changes but nothing. I keeping hoovering around the same weight. I am not going to give up. I have to do somehting to shock my body. I am happy that i have gone from a size 22 to a 18 that feels good. When I fist started the whole ordeal I was at 276 now at 235. We will get there. I will come off. I am open to any suggestion that anyone may have.

I just finished month 3 and lost around 9lbs. I'm hoping I can continue to lose 8-10lbs a month over the next few months.

This was a really good question.... one I wanted to ask also but I don't know how to post a question yet.

My surgery was October 22nd 2014 and I am down 38 pounds. The scale hasn't moved much lately and I was getting a little concerned!

I am disabled with back, neck and joint issues.... so I haven't exercised or began a walking regiment yet. I did order new sneakers and I think I'm ready to start walking at least!!! Maybe that will get the numbers moving a little!

P.S.

My skin is starting to itch now. No rash or hives though! Has anyone else experienced this?

More Protein. Protein is a metabolic booster in itself, so make sure to hit your protein goals.Ad some good fats, get your body used to burning fats for energy. Your body will eventually start turning to the fat to burn.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
