Smooth move tea help

Recommended Posts

Ok so I read somewhere that drinking "smooth move" tea would help keep you regular. Well I've been lucky enough to be regular but I thought oh I LOVE tea so why not (for good measure) so I drank a nice cup earlier and then I decided to look up the reviews on it and now I'm horrified that I'm in for a night of torture! I read reviews like "it caused me to have the worst cramps I've ever had!", "the cramps are worse than childbirth" "I crapped for hours" "I almost shat myself Inside out" (ok maybe not the last one but that's my fear right now, that and having to sit in a quit room taking finals tomorrow!) So has anyone actually drank this stuff? How did it "go". If I don't get any replies I will just go ahead and assume my "hell tea" is true. I seriously considered throwing it up! I don't have time for this nonsense! Tea is suppose to be soothing not a stinking torture device! For FOX Sake!

I have used the tea for several years when I needed to 'move things along.' How strong did you make the tea? If you used one teabag and let it sit for 15 minutes or so before drinking it, you might have to get up early tomorrow morning to empty out. If you drank it hot without letting it sit at all you really shouldn't have much of a problem. If you used more than one teabag or you let it sit for 20 minutes or more you might get ready for a lot of gas and cramps and (ahem) some explosive clearing out of your entire intestines - large and small. I don't know about drinking it when you are not blocked up. It truly does work.

@ I put it in boiling Water and left it in the whole time I was drinking it so maybe 10-15 mins and just the one bag. I took a Woman's so called "Gentle" laxative pill once and it was horrible! It made me sick and cramp something fierce! That's why I thought tea would be all nice and therapeutic like my chai tea.....I put up a big prayer that it doesn't happen again today : ( Maybe I should just go sleep in the bathtub?!

Yes, I tried it and it did cramp up my stomach . It is a stimulant so it is not all that gentle in my opinion. Also, I read somewhere that it dyes your lower intestine a dark color...not sure if that's good or bad. LOL! So I am currently using milk of magnesia, as my flinstone Vitamins w/iron are causing me problems. Milk of magnesia is stimulant free, so no tummy ache, and it is working great so far!

I think Smooth Move is gentle. I drink it all the time. Don't make it too strong. You will poop a lot. It will clean out your system completely.

Be sure to drink lots of Water. Take reviews with a grain of salt. lol

I drink Smooth Move tea regularly because my sleeve, Iron, and daily narcotics do a FABULOUS job of stopping the works up effectively . I have never had a problem with it causing cramping or explosive issues. The tea is one of the more gentle methods I have found to help alleviate the Constipation. I hope your experience is not a bad one! Please keep us updated as to what your experience is.

I'm alive!!! Yay! No cramping or anything crazy! I did "go" but just normal, there's not a whole lot in my belly anyway. So glad I could share all my TMI with everyone! Lol! So I think the tea is safe..I don't know if I will drink it again because I don't want to push my luck but I'm good: )

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
