Has anyone taken up Bycyling?

Recommended Posts

Hello all, once again, I dissappear and it seems to be the last thing I want to do but it happens.

BG, way to cute!!!!!!! Love, love, love the big smiles!!!!

J, Zoe sounds like she was way to cute too!!!!

HP, mine is a freshman too and has the attitude to go with it.

School, school, school, externship rotations, extership rotations...thats all I do and I am tired of it already. 8-5 everyday and then studying is making me a very unhappy camper. I need time to ride my bike. I need it......I want it........SOMEONE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I am fairly certain that Jared has food poisoning. Poor baby was puking up everything I gave him yesterday. The only difference in what he ate and what his sister ate was a carrot that he got from one of his classmates. It might be a coincidence, but a perfect opportunity to teach him why you don't share food at lunchtime. I am running on about 2 hours sleep. BLah.

Do we want to agree not to talk politics and candidates on this board?

And it's coming at me from all areas, I'd like to have a safe non-political place.

Thoughts?

I second the no politics motion. I too feel that I am bombarded with opinions, snide remarksand downright nasty stuff. A safe zone is a great idea, plenty of other places we can have an intelligent political conversation. Good idea OH. KY

I agree with everyone here in regards to politics. We do need a safe zone since it is going to get worse and not better. At least with biking we can go out and block everything out and just enjoy the nice weather this fall and how it makes us feel while and after riding.

Things have been busy here as well. We are coming down to the wire with getting the Indy airport ready to be open for flights in Nov. Weight loss is doing good. I go for another sleep study this month to see if I can get rid of the CPAP Machine and just use the herbest retainer. I will be one year out on the 19th of this month. Glad to see that everyone is doing real well.

It's still about cycling. You've got a core group of people who started riding last year and we go off in many directions.

Please post about your new ride. We particularly like pictures!!!

Sorry if it's so far off topic, but if you start talking bikes we get all excited.

Traded one clothes hanger for another

So, I had a garage sale a few weeks ago, and sold the Bowflex and the ElliptiKILL.

That gave me enough money (almost!) to buy this

s320x240

It's a brand new 2007 Fuji Professional 3.0, all carbon and other goodness. My buddy J has been trying to get me into this for a while. This poor thing was sitting dusty at the bike shop, and since the 2009s are almost out and the 2008s on discount, I got a pretty good deal on it. All together it weighs 20 lbs.

Took an easy 11.25 mile ride on it right after I bought it, will have to work up to real distances. I also got the padded shorts and a jersey. No, I will NOT be posting pics

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
