I am having a huge problem with head hunger and drinking water…well really drinking much at all. I have some other issues that are occupying my mind and I am weak.

How do others deal with the head hunger when you are places like work and what you can do it limited?

Also, Water, I have never been someone who drink a lot, how do you get it all down? A large McD sweet tea would last me all day. OMG I feel like I am drowning.

I am just wondering how things like stress, your cycle (for my ladies), or times of days affect you and what you do about it.

Thinks all in advance for weighing in on this. Also, any advice would be great!

Vary the liquids a lot, making sure it's no more than 5 calories/8oz. Keep a cup on your desk and take sips throughout the day. I didn't used to drink that much either.

Head hunger is one of the things I've been struggling with. I'm not sure if this is even helping me at all, but when I have a specific food in my mind, I google pictures of it and look through the various pictures of that food. I notice I have been watching the Food Network more often. Like I said, this probably isn't even helping me, but I dare to try to eat the stuff I've been craving...like pizza!! My brother brought home pizza last week, and I wanted some so bad, but I stayed away.

Liquids...well, I can't help you there either!! Gee, I'm not very helpful! I used to be able to drink 80 ounces of Water during a 10 hour shift at work, and now I can't even get 30 ounces in in an entire day!!

I grew up in a fairly healthy eating family so drinking Water was never an issue for me. Once I stopped drinking soda it became really easy. I don't buy many beverages. In my house I have almond milk, coffee tea, in the winter cacao for hot chocolate. The coffee & tea I typically only want for Breakfast. I crave hot chocolate at night in the winter.

I just got in the habit of carrying water bottle with me everywhere. When I was at work I would have one on my desk and sip on it all day. If I'm home I fill one and sit it next to the computer with me and just sip. I don't add "flavorings" unless they are natural like lemons, limes, mint leaves, fresh ginger or cucumber. Once I gave up soda, my palette reset itself and I didn't need a sugary drink.

I also realized my body was happier when I drank Water. My skin was clear. I was never constipated, or got heartburn.

I just learned to love water and what it does for me.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
