Hello guys! I tried to do a very basic exercise video to tone my inner thighs (it was about 10 minutes) and it damn near killed me. I had the sleeve about a month and a half ago and I feel like someone has sucked the life source out of me. I felt dizzy and needed to rest after. At my heaviest, I could workout harder than this. Is this normal? My cousin who was sleeved was RUNNING after her surgery. I am afraid to even try it again. Anyone else experience this?

Maybe you're not eating enough Protein before your workout. I was having dizzy spells and it was because I wasn't eating enough and possibly dehydrated.

How active were you before surgery? I was doing Water aerobics 3 times a well pre-op. I resumed on week 3 and I can do the entire 1 hour class no problem.

I had to same problem. I do my workout 5 in the morning. Its too early for me to eat so I just drink my Protein Shake. But I will have kind of fruit (usually a banana),milk and either yogurt or Peanut Butter for more Protein. Once I started this, I was fine. My NUT told me it was my sugar levels. I needed eat something.

I wasn't very active before the surgery. But I was able to walk 3.25 miles and I was 40 lbs heavier than I am now. I think my nutrition may be the problem.

Yes it's probably nutritional. I was so weak and exhausted until about 2 months out. Now I'm a little under 3 months and have tons of energy and can eat whatever... Just give it time. ????

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
