What's on your bucket list?

Recommended Posts

I was listening to my morning radio show today and they were talking about things on their bucket list. I realized that as I approach surgery in December, losing this weight for GOOD has always been my #1 bucket list thing. At 40, I grieve that I didn't do this sooner, but I'm happy that at 40, I (Lord willing) still have lots of time to finally begin living the life I always wanted. That includes other things on my bucket list. I'd love to go zip lining (even though I'm terrified of heights) I'd love to walk at least a portion of the Appalachian Trail, I would like to do a 5k, I would love to ride a roller coaster again, I would like to travel more, I might even go skydiving! What's on your bucket list?

ahhhhh YES! @@finediva definitely shoes! I have such awesome heels in my closet that I can't wear because the stress on my back from all the weight just won't allow it. BUT, I bet that when I lose the weight they won't fit anymore! Oh well... sell and rebuy, right?

@bobbyswife. Girl my size 11W didn't leave me many choices. At a 40lb plus loss I no longer need wide width. Yayyy! I used to be a 10, but ever time I had a child ( had three of them) my feet got bigger. Who knew. I don't think I'll go back to a 10, but I'm trilled not to need wide any more.

Disneyland. I've been there twice in my life and have obviously been obese both times, so I never felt comfortable.

Yosemite National Park. I went there this year for my birthday, but I want to go back and walk on a long trail or something!!

Awe Disney! I went for the first time 2 years ago. I remember feeling like a kid, but also feeling like my feet and back were killing me. Can't wait to go again!

on my bucket list.....skinny jeans!!! lol! I just want to be able to wear all the cute trendy stuff! And I would like to travel more. I want a redo of the cruise I went on this year so that I can be able to walk the whole ship without feeling like I'm going to die! I want to be able to wear a normal swimsuit and not a swim dress (although mine was cute lol) and a 2 piece would be AESOME!! And I want to take my baby to an amusement park and/or Water park and be able to keep up with his 3 year old energy!

on my bucket list.....skinny jeans!!! lol!

I tried on a pair of 34-waist, straight-leg jeans last... and they fit!!! But just barely, so I didn't buy them. Think I'll wait until they don't cause major muffin-top. Okay, now THAT goes on my muffin... I mean, bucket list.

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
