You are just in the first few hours of post op. You may not be feeling great and may have concerns or second thoughts. The fear is normal. Don't let yourself get stressed out. Its a process. Accept you are going to have a few rough days, followed by weeks of learning. Soon.. you will see results and be glad to made the decision.

Prayers for good health :)

Blessings.

Thanks for all the sweet words and encouragement! I will be going home in a few hours. I must say I don't think it could have went any smoother than it did. I was blessed with an AMAZING staff! Everyone of them was exceptional. So guess who's getting a huge box of cupcakes!!!! Thanks for all the prayer and thoughts! I am just taking it day by day and keeping my stress level to a minimum. I have no regrets. I am staying in my learning phase until me and Miss sleeve become one lol! Blessing to you all!

@@time for june I felt like I had done soooo much research and read so many post there really wasn't anything that caught me off guard. I would just say try to remain calm and go with the process. I worried myself sick about gas and shoulder pain and I ended up not having either. I made a post earlier about my glade plug in for my hospital room, I know it sounds really simple but just having my room smell of apple cinnamon was more like home to me.I also found some soothing sounds/music On my IPad and I played it most of the time. All the staff made remarks on how lovely my room felt. Just try to make your self comfortable. Walk, use a binder, and most of all be kind to your staff And they will be kind to you.

On the plus side my anesthesiologist is a cutie! Of course he is who else would you want staring at your big ol belly lol! Thank you all in advance!

After a hip replacement I developed a theory that after major surgery they send in the cutest nurse to remove your catheter. Does she know about "shrinkage"?!! :o

It's true! Every anesthesiologist I've ever had was drop dead gorgeous and had seen me looking my absolute worst. I think it's a rule that in order to be an anesthesiologist you HAVE TO be good looking

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
