  • Surgery was Monday the 5th! Doing really really well! I was home Tuesday evening and Wednesday went to the mall and walked with my mom for about an hour. It's cold and snowy so outside isn't an optio

  • I absolutely refuse to buy new clothes until I am sleeved. I may purchase some cozy jammy pants, maybe a couple of tank tops to wear around the house. That is it. I will waste no more money on this

January 14th here in Massachusetts at St. Elizabeths! Getting nervous and excited and scared and excited... Thinking of joining Overeaters Anonymous because there are no support groups around me and I want all the support I can get. Good luck everyone!

Hi! This is my very first post on this site. My surgery is TOMORROW, 1/2. I am nervous, scared and excited all at the same time. Reading this site has helped calm my nerves considerably. It helps to know I'm not alone in my back and forth feelings of anxiety and excitement. I'll check back in to report how things go!

I was weak i cheated and ate yesterday night and go sick as a dog, i did t binge i just couldnt tolerate the food! I did clear liquids today and have diarrhea not pleasurable. I want to chicken out because i am so afraid of dying or having a horrible complication!

Yay @@PirateGirl! Good luck tomorrow!! @@Jill Pill, just start from now. That's all you can do, don't beat yourself up. I think we're all scared of the what ifs. Just keep coming here for support. Take baby steps in this journey & know that those of us here have your back. :)

January 20th surgery date. Anyone else? Good luck everyone and thanks for helping me keep my ball of nerves in check with all of your encouragement!!!

I think of it like this, I'm more afraid of continuing to live with the complications of being obese than I am about anything this surgery could do to me.

I'm starting my 2 week liquid diet today. I was wondering how many times a day did you guys that are/have been on the liquid diet drink protein shakes a day?

I drink protein at 6am, 10am, 2pm, and 6pm but the 6 o'clock ones are Nectar protein at home, 10 and 2 o clock are eas carb control while I'm at work.

My doc....who I think is super mean..LOL said4-5 a day to equal 90gm protein...a banana or apple or bowl of melon twice a day...... + 64 ounces of water last night I cheated a little and had a cup of broth with egg whites stirred in..... it was the bomb .... I needed a hot something that wasn't sweet or cold

I"m super jealous of all the pre op diets that have a solid food dinner. I have three to four protein shakes a day and I do broths in-between. I don't intake any caffeine just decaf hot teas and anything else that is sugar free to drink. If I get tired of the protein "shakes" I drink a lil bit of a protein drink that taste a lil sweet to change it up! 13lbs down. I don't look or feel different but I guess I was expecting so much more.

I've only lost 3 pounds .... I broke down and called my doctor's office lol. I asked her if I could at least have something hot at night when I go home I hate cold and sweet drinks I probably won't have another chocolate shake for years to come

Thanks guys! You really helped. It's tough because I get tired of sweet tasting stuff really quickly so I'll definitely be adding broth into the mix.

I don't think I'd have the same confidence with myself or optimism throughout my gastric sleeve journey as I do now have I not joined this website/forum.

Jan. 12 so excited and nervous. I have been trying for 2 yrs. Finally it is all working out.

I also just do broth for dinner. IF YOU ARE THE LEAST BIT PICKY DO NOT TRY SWANSON SEAFOOD BROTH OR TUSCAN STYLE CHICKEN BROTH. I'm the most un-picky person and they absolutely were horrible. Plain chicken was fine, the beef tasted fake. I swear I'm not picky. Anyway I can have sf jello too but just don't feel the need. Lol
