  • Surgery was Monday the 5th! Doing really really well! I was home Tuesday evening and Wednesday went to the mall and walked with my mom for about an hour. It's cold and snowy so outside isn't an optio

  • I absolutely refuse to buy new clothes until I am sleeved. I may purchase some cozy jammy pants, maybe a couple of tank tops to wear around the house. That is it. I will waste no more money on this

Well today wasn't so bad but I did manage to keep busy and I have my husband sharing the cooking duties with me. I think I just need to do as much possible to keep mental occupied not just physically. I just can't wait to go and have the surgery so i'm not HUNGRY! and feel full. The problem is that my stomach is still in the larger range of food intake and can tell that I haven't eaten much. So it will be a huge relief to know that if I eat and it is not a large amount it will be enough for me to feel full and satisfied for a longer period of time.

I'm at the end of day 3 of my pre op diet & (for now anyway) I feel like I'm over the head hunger part. What kills me is feeling all that liquid sloshing around in my empty tummy, lol.????

@@sleevydreams I'm my 5th day in and 5 more to go!! I hear ya about the liquids sloshing around!! lol my surgery is Monday, when is yours?

@@Docgerri mine is Wednesday the 7th. :)

I am a band to sleeve revision and just received my surgery date of January 29th. I have already adopted the pre-op diet because I was sick and tired of being run down all the time. I already feel 100% better...I can't imagine what the next few months will bring. I am scared of the added risk that comes with a band to VSG revision but I am placing my faith in Dr. Schroder (Richmond, VA) who is renowned for the revision surgery in this area. Good luck to everyone as the journey begins!!!!

@@Jlkhollins Welcome to being a January Sleever and try to be scared. It is scary of course but focusing on that just is going to stress you out and who needs that right. Glad you have the mind set to start your eating early cause it is just not an easy one but of course things get easier as time goes on and I'm sending you the best of luck on your new journey from band to sleeve!

I've always been able to hear sloshing lol. I know my stomach has got to be huge.

January 9th is my date, start my liquid diet on the 1st. cant wait to get this done.

49 years old and want to feel young again. Sick of the yoyo weight loss.

Dr Thomas Jones. Methodist Hospital St.Louis Park Minnesota.

Please keep me posted on how you're doing. I'm also a patient at PNC -Methodist. Have you gone to any of their support groups on Wednesday evenings? I had lap band and now starting the process of revision to sleeve. I just handed in my packet of info yesterday....ready for a new chapter. :)

I like the EAS Advantage Carb Control protein shakes. I also like Pure Protein. Both of them I get at Target.

Got my call for my pre-op visit with my PMD. She likes to do most of the test in her office then I go to see anesthesiologist on the same day for his preoperative visit on the 5 th of January. So far everything is on schedule. January 12, 2015 is 11 days and a wake-up.

@@Jlkhollins Good luck to you too! Please let us know how you are doin!!!

Thank you everyone!! I am starting to get excited. I just booked a post surgery vacation in the Dominican (in May) and am excited that I will be in better shape and on my way to health! Happy almost January!

@Jlkholins that is great!!!!!!!!! Enjoy!!!!!!!!

Woohoo! Survived the holidays on the pre-op liquid diet. Last night was especially hard. I caught myself attempting to bargain plenty of times and still overcame. One more week!

My surgery is in 4 days and I'm kind of having a melt down. I'm not afraid of the surgery, I'm afraid of how I will cope w.out my "bff" food. It makes me ashamed to even say that. For most of my life it's been my coping mechanism. Feeling sad eat a huge bowl of pasta. Feeling happy have some cake. To know this will change even if it's for the better is extremely over whelming. It saddens me to recognize how much of a food addict I am. Sorry for being a Debbie downer. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! !
