Calling January Sleever????

Recommended Posts

I also just do broth for dinner. IF YOU ARE THE LEAST BIT PICKY DO NOT TRY SWANSON SEAFOOD BROTH OR TUSCAN STYLE chicken BROTH. I'm the most un-picky person and they absolutely were horrible. Plain chicken was fine, the beef tasted fake. I swear I'm not picky. Anyway I can have sf Jello too but just don't feel the need. Lol

Ew, I know what you mean @downsizingdiva. I tried some Mexican chicken tortilla...it smelled good but it sure didn't taste good. :-(

I'm so freaking angry and irritable! My surgery is Wednesday 1/7 and this is day 8 of my preop diet! ???? I'm not losing the way I want and I'm so irritable that I can't stand myself! My kids run when they see me coming and my husband just walks out of any room I come into. Ugh!!! I wish I had better control of my emotions but I don't. Gosh I hope when this surgery is over I hope I'm nicer--- these of course are my caregivers ????

Jan. 12 so excited and nervous. I have been trying for 2 yrs. Finally it is all working out.

Mine is the 12the as well. My Dr advised me a pre-op diet was not necessary but I'm going to start one tomorrow just to be on the safe side. Like you, I am super excited and super nervous as well. Good luck to you. Message me if you need support!

Mine started Christmas Eve. 3 Protein Shakes a day with coconut almond milk and all the veggies I want. I'm down 13lbs and hit the prescribed weight loss for surgery. My muscles hurt the most and getting warm is hard. I can also smell everything! So weird. 2 more days then Clear Liquids only before surgery. Surgery 1/7 at OCC.< /p>

My muscles above my knees ache really bad in the evenings. Kinda makes me afraid that my potassium is low or something. Anyone else have the leg muscle aches on pre op?

This too shall pass. You are doing great. It is not just to loose weight but to downsize your liver and your stomach. You are doing great...

I am also on the 12 th and my doctor told me I did not need to do the liquid diet. I am doing a modified liquid diet. So far so good.

One thing to keep in mind, when your body is going through massive change ( eg. Weightloss/food deprivation.) it kinda hits "shock" mode and your hormones go nuts! Stick to your plan, the weight WILL come off and remember loss isn't as important until post op. Just need to minimize that liver. I had a 4 day stall last week and then dumped 6lbs in two days. It'll happen!!! ;)

Explain to your kids that your not yourself, apologize and do something positive with them! Don't forget about hubby either - he can support you better if you stay sane. I struggled with this too! I just had to tell myself "STOP!" Get a grip and choose JOY. This part is hard, no question!! Vent your emotions on here, we understand.

Hope these days just fly by for you! Yay for surgery next week!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
