Vitamin Deficiency?

I am 4 months post-op and having some issues. I'm currently experiencing depression/moodiness/anxiety, fatigue, hair loss, severe muscle cramping in my legs and sometimes hands, and have just discovered a horizontal ridge on each of my thumb nails. I also have bags/dark circles under my eyes. I've lost 60 lbs, and am down to 176 and still losing about 15 lbs a month. My job has felt incredibly stressful this year and I think it is because I'm not handing stress well, not so much because the job has changed. Although, it is a somewhat stressful job.

My daily routine goes like this:

5:45 am - wake up, take meds including nuvigil to help me stay awake

7:00 am - go to work w/ Protein drink w/liquid mineral supplement mixed in

11:45 am - eat a few bites if I can (I'm usually too stressed from work to eat and end up throwing up if I try)

12:30 pm - cup of coffee because I'm starting to get tired again

5:00 pm - home from work, usually super hungry, have small snack

6:30 pm - dinner, try to remember to take Vitamins, fatigue setting in again

8:30 pm - passed out w/exhaustion, try to remember to take nighttime pills

I'm getting plenty of sleep. I'm not really counting calories but I know I'm not getting many. I'm going to see the doctor about having some blood drawn on the 27th. I know I'm doing this all wrong, I need to eat more, I need to take my Vitamins, I need to find a way to de-stress. So, I guess I'm just looking for some general advice. Does it get easier? Is what I'm experiencing normal? I think I've made a mess of things with not being good at taking my vitamins. Do I need super strong vitamins to counteract any deficiencies I may have?

Vitamins are like sale days at Nordstrom, if you miss them they are gone. No, you can't take extra pills to make up. I purchased a pill case at walgreens with an alarm. Perhaps you could set your phone for an alarm at pill taking time. You have to take your Vitamins and supplements your you will be in such much trouble.

You are clearly not eating enough. During lunch can you go for a little walk or get some soft music on headphones to kind of leave the world of stress for 10 minutes. Even consider wearing light blocking cover for your eyes. It's about figuring out how to turn off the sensory pollution around you and in your mind. A good way for me has been to take a mini trip. I visualize what place I will be visiting for my trip, what I would pack, do on the first day, what i would eat,etc . While I keep my mind busy on all the trip prep I am not thinking about my stress. My sister in law plays candy crush saga, because it's mindless (doesn't work for me). Then start eating very slowly some good food you enjoy. You could fix your 5 workday meals on the weekend and freeze them. This way at lunch there would me no need to go get food from somewhere adding further stress. Make lunch your quiet time - think Zen.

      Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

      Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
