I could not get relief with the liquid Vicodin/Tylenol, although I drank the last drops right from the bottle in hopes of it helping! I agree with above poster to try something else. I switched to liquid Tylenol and Tylenol pm

For those of you that had a C-section would you say the pain is similar, worse, not as bad? Just trying to prepare myself mentally before surgery...

I had two c sections... And I remember laughing was painful. I was younger and had a baby to take care of so my perspective was different. There was an annoying burning numbness at my incision line that was irritating and I thought would never go away...

With the sleeve, laughing hurts, bending is very uncomfortable or painful at times, as is my tossing and turning in bed. So I never answered your question...same but different. Nothing that would make me regret or warn anyone about, but significant and prolonged enough that I was starting to get weepy and unglued!!

I was sleeved yesterday 10/16 at 11:30 am, came home today at 5 pm haven't had to take any pain meds yet. I have 2 very small pin hole incisions and one larger one in my belly button, my stomach is sore and I can't lay on my side. The pain isn't as bad as I thought it would be. The worst pain was in recovery from the gas, the gave me dilodin.

I have 6 and one really hurts. I don't have pain pills because the hospital forgot to give me the rx. Seriously. I could call the doctor but I'm afraid they will upset my stomach so I'm just dealing with it.

I have 6 incisions as well. For pain, the doc gave me a perscription for liquid vicodin. I only had to use it once and that was the night I came home from the hospital.

I just had a c-section last November and was sleeved on Monday (13th). I took pain medication for about a week after my c-section. I haven't taken any medication since I left the hospital on Tuesday. I think the pain itself is not the same. After the c-section my whole abdomen hurt! My incisions only hurt now when I bend over.

When did the numbness go away?! Mine is way better then it was, but still there and still obnoxious!

Doctor say I'm recuperating fast, but I still have a lot of pain. For how long did your pain from incisions lasted?

I've been wondering this too! Great question!

I have the same issue plus a pesky drain to deal with I was sleeved on the 14th. How soon after surgery were people able to return to normal activities like driving a car and less abdominal pain?

I was able to drive 9 days later. I didn't have any abdominal pain and felt normal (like nothing ever happened) in 2 days.

I am almost 5 weeks post. Still can ruin my day with pain and burning on my lower right side if I bend or turn the wrong way. I still wear the binder most times. The odd burning/numb sensation is decreasing though

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
