What is something that is working for you? I don't mean the band itself, I mean like a special meal you like, a routine, an exercise, certain kind of support or motivation.

What's something that you do that's working for you??

I'll start: I love my NutraNinja blender. It makes blah Bariatric Advantage shakes come out like a dream.

Please share!! i need some motivation lately. Thanks in advance.

Having a trainer and group exercise classes have really helped me. Left on my own, I exercise once a week at best. With my trainer, we have a standing appointment that I must show up for. Recognizing what I cannot do on my own and still expect results had made a difference.

Quest bars! I keep a couple of them in my purse and in my tote bag that I carry with me to work. They have saved me from making bad choices many times when I was out and about or had to work late.

I do well with routine things , I think because my work schedule ( retail) is erratic, I crave things that are consistantly the same. ( one reason I visit this site frequently) . Snacks, workouts etc that I dont have to think about just seem to work for me. So, I like Belvita Breakfast Biscuts, turkey jerkey, pb on wheat thins and lots of Propel for my Water intake. Working out ? Swim class 3x a week, and when my heel injury gets better, back to walking and slow running.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
