So here is the list I copied from my program and then what I actually need in case someone else goes to the store for me. SF means sugar free. I cant handle most products so I listed to look for items that say made with Splenda, but most people can handle any sugar free option.

This is just for the first month. I will post the official pages from my program in the hopes it might help others.

17 days and counting.

I just tried mixing low fat Greek yogurt with sugar free pudding and it was yummy! At what point post op can you have something like that? After liquid, mushy stage?

Plans vary, but the one my facility handed out allows pudding and yogurt during the full liquids stage :)

My surgery is day after tomorrow (Thursday). I've tried all I can to set myself up for success without going overboard (I hope). I've picked up a couple of different Protein shakes (I have a difficult time tolerating them, as well as liking them). I picked up a case (12 bottles) of Isopure Zero Carb in Icy Orange, EAS Carb Control in vanilla and Dark chocolate and also have some unfalvored Protein packets from powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury. As for other stuff, I've got a huge supply of homemade chicken and turkey broth (made by a family member and frozen in ice cube trays). I stocked up on sugar free Gelatin, sugar free instant pudding, vanilla greek yogurt and sugar free ice pops. I've also picked up a few containers of stage 1 baby food (just in case). In addition to food stuffs, I've laid in a supply of various flavors of Water flavorings, crystal light, diet cranberry juice and various herbal teas (for both hot and cold use). My doctor also insisted on having Milk of Magnesia, liquid Tylenol, liquid Benadryl and all chewable Vitamins and Calcium supplements. It's a little strange...I almost feel like I'm stocking up for an apocalypse or some other sort of natural disaster. LOL!!! My husband has taken a couple of days of from work to look after me after the surgery, and my daughter and son-in-law are begging me to come spend the next two weeks with them so they can look after me. I am truly hoping to be on my feet and taking care of business within a day or two, am I being unrealistic here? If you think I've forgotten something here, please let me know. If I leave it to my husband to get something for me he usually gets the wrong thing, and then gets annoyed at me becasue of it. LOL!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
